In addition to that move, the coaches are trying out offensive guard Quinton Washington at defensive tackle.Thunderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09708792562446136381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-40428723296500588662010-10-26T00:28:04.047-04:002010-10-26T00:28:04.047-04:00OT: ive heard will cambell(spelling?) is goin to o...OT: ive heard will cambell(spelling?) is goin to oline. true/false?

-hornAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-39728945762004247122010-10-24T19:03:54.779-04:002010-10-24T19:03:54.779-04:00@ horn
I'm not trying to diminish motivation ...@ horn

I'm not trying to diminish motivation as a key skill for coaches. I'm saying the common idea of motivation (halftime speeches, etc.) is overrated. I think it's much more important, as I said, to keep each player motivated by making him feel excited, confident, and key to the team's success.Thunderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09708792562446136381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-77102364786885525762010-10-22T17:14:30.261-04:002010-10-22T17:14:30.261-04:00look at kstates basketball team overachieve and te...look at kstates basketball team overachieve and tell me why they overachieved. if u come to a conclusion other than fantastic coaching/motivation ill b surprised.

also look at texas's offense/defense. defense plays much better than the offense. defense has muschamp(imo the best d coor in the nation) headbutting players. offense has greg davis sitting in a booth.

motivation helps to an extent. the whole "u should b pumped for every game if not then u arent a true athlete" is bullshit to be honest. its a lot harder to get up for directional city college than it is to get up for playing vs ohio state in front of ur home crowd.

-hornAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-44095524097266066962010-10-22T12:09:41.124-04:002010-10-22T12:09:41.124-04:00I don't think that motivation is overrated at ...I don't think that motivation is overrated at all. Maybe the value of fiery speeches is. But great leaders can find ways of motivating a wide variety of people. Some people are self-motivated but others require a little more.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
