He's won a national title, recruiting ties in the south and has Michigan ties to Bo not Lloyd. Just look what he did this year with a very young LSU team.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-60036863709021974662014-11-28T21:35:33.553-05:002014-11-28T21:35:33.553-05:00Yeah ... Maybe -- but only just maybe -- a lower program like Purdue or Indiana *might* take a chance with him as a placeholder. But even that I would doubt. They'd rather roll the dice with some MAC or mid-level coach and hope they land a stellar coach who can carry them a decade or more.DonAZnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-3298969604750674082014-11-28T14:07:22.840-05:002014-11-28T14:07:22.840-05:00At 62...I would see him (if successful) as a quick...At 62...I would see him (if successful) as a quick fix before he retires.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440694009017367434.post-8864818576757387902014-11-28T12:38:19.835-05:002014-11-28T12:38:19.835-05:00This... seems silly to me. Shanahan hasn't had consecutive winning seasons since '06, he's 62, and players and management were very unhappy with him on his way out the door at Washington. This is not a good choice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
