2012 Maxwell, Bednarik Award Watch Lists

The Maxwell Football Club released their Maxwell and Bednarik Award watch lists today, and there are a couple Wolverines on the list - along with several guys on Michigan's schedule and in the Big Ten:

*Virginia Tech isn't on the schedule this coming season, obviously, but Michigan just played them in January, so I thought it was relevant.

  1. I think Michigan State's defense is going to pose another serious problem for Michigan this year. We'll see after the first game of the year if Michigan continues to struggle against a solid defense.

  2. Alabama returns four defensive starters, and they have four defensive players on the watch list. Wow. I wonder how many of last year's backups would have been on the list if those players had gotten the playing time.

    Meanwhile we have no defensive players on the list. Ouch. Thank you very, very much, Rich Rod.
