2024

Gatlin Bair - WR - Burley (ID) Burley: Bair is a 6'2", 180-pounder with offers from Michigan, Oregon, and TCU, among others. He's a 4-star, the #10 wide receiver, and #44 overall. As a junior in 2022, he caught 73 passes for 1,073 yards and 18 touchdowns. Because he plans to go on a mission after high school, he will not plan to enroll until 2026, so this is a recruitment for the long-term. In other words, by the time he would enroll at Michigan, Jadyn Davis would be a junior. This is an official visit for Bair, whose coach was Colston Loveland's high school coach.

Jameer Grimsley - WR - Tampa (FL) Catholic: Grimsley is a 6'3", 185-pounder with offers from Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, and others. He's a 4-star, the #18 cornerback, and #231 overall. This is an official visit, and he has officials scheduled to all the aforementioned schools.

Terhyon Nichols - CB - Cincinnati (OH) Withrow: Nichols is a 6'0", 180-pounder with offers from Kentucky, Michigan, Penn State, and Pitt, among others. He's a 4-star, the #23 cornerback, and #284 overall. This is his final scheduled official visit.

Jacob Smith - DE - Cheshire (CT) Cheshire Academy: Smith is a 6'4", 230 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan and Nebraska, among others. He's a 4-star, the #17 edge, and #222 overall. He's the brother of Jerod Smith (see below), who is committed to Michigan.

Jerod Smith - DT - Cheshire (CT) Cheshire Academy: Smith is committed to Michigan (LINK). This is his official visit.

Taylor Tatum - RB - Longview (TX) Longview: Tatum is a 5'10", 205-pounder with offers from Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, and USC, among others. He's a 4-star, the #1 running back, and #33 overall. The general consensus seems now to be that he will end up at USC after taking an official visit to Pasadena in early June, but at one time, his impending commitment to Michigan was "the worst kept secret in Texas." Michigan now has two running backs in this class - Jordan Marshall and Micah Ka'apana - so Tatum's official visit might not even happen, but it sure would be nice to still go after the #1 running back in the class.

Bryce West - CB - Cleveland (OH) Glenville: West is a 5'11", 177 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Ohio State, and lots of others, but M and OSU appear to be the only two real options. He's a 4-star, the #4 cornerback, and #49 overall. He took an official visit to Ann Arbor a couple weekends ago but is returning for an unofficial, which is good news for the Wolverines, even though Ohio State will be getting an official over the weekend.

2025

Matty Augustine - OT - Greenwich (CT) Brunswick: Augustine is a 6'7", 260 lb. prospect with offers from Kentucky, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and others. He picked up an offer from the Wolverines on a swing through the midwest that also saw him visit Michigan State and Ohio State.

Kelan Butler - LB - Jefferson (GA) Jefferson: Butler is a 6'3", 223-pounder with offers from Kentucky, Michigan, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Tennessee, among others. He's a 3-star, the #29 edge, and #336 overall.

Chris Ewald, Jr. - S - Hollywood (FL) Chaminade-Madonna: Ewald is committed to Michigan (LINK).

Devin Williams - CB - Buford (GA) Buford: Williams is a 5'11", 168 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State, among others. He's a 4-star, the #5 cornerback, and #59 overall. Williams is a teammate of 2025 linebacker commit Mantrez Walker.

  1. Georgia DT Michai Boireau (committed to Florida) and Maryland DE Darien Mayo (leaning toward Clemson) both canceled their official visits and were removed from the list.

  2. Blair would be an exciting get, even with the wait. I feel like those 2-years away from football are offset by maturity gains (physical and mental). Then again life happens those 2 years so you never know if a guy ends up elsewhere like Gentry.
