Gator Bowl, here we come!
It was announced on Sunday that Michigan will be playing the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the Gator Bowl. Not only did Michigan bounce back to bowl eligibility in 2010, but they're playing in a New Year's Day game, perhaps the best day of college football. The game will be in Jacksonville, Florida, on January 1, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
Mississippi State ended the season ranked #21 with an 8-4 record. Their signature win was a 10-7 victory over Florida, but the Bulldogs also lost close games to Arkansas and Auburn, two good teams.
More statistics and analysis will be provided as the month goes on, but with guys recovering from injury and various other dramatic events that might unfold in the next few weeks, an in-depth preview at this point might be premature and outdated by the New Year.
Your initial feelings about this game? Do you think Michigan can pull it out against a ranked team for the first time this year? Does this game have any bearing on Rodriguez's future?
ReplyDeleteGood. Yes. Yes.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
Slightly attractive Mississippi State girl of the week?

ReplyDeleteI don't have many initial feelings about the game. Sorry. I haven't watched a single Mississippi State game this year.
Yes, I do think Michigan can pull it out against a ranked team. I don't get the feeling that Mississippi State is a juggernaut defensively or offensively.
If David Brandon is waiting until after the bowl to make his decision, then yes, I would say it has a bearing on Rodriguez's future. Coming out and laying an egg would be bad for him. A Michigan win would be a solid cap to the season. A close loss and...who knows?

ReplyDeletelol at Michigan State
I am a little sad for Texas, though. I've always rooted for them in the Big 12, and I wanted them to beat 'Bama last year in the championship game. I'm sure they'll get it turned around quickly.
we're starting to clean house as im sure u have heard. greg davis(OC) = gone, MM(OL) = gone, tolleson(DL/ST) = gone. looking at holgerson(spelling? the okie state OC) and the boise state OC as possible replacements. as to b10 possibilities we're looking at wisconsins OL coach. wat are u realistically expecting from the defense with a month to prepare and get healthy?
