Ian Gold was a HS RB who ran for some crazy amount of yardage and had elite track speed. It's too long ago for me to remember if he was considered to have the same limitations in lacking shiftiness, but there seems to be some, cursory at least, similarity. I know Gold was before your time (and mine except that I was a local kid who knew him and therefore paid attention). Maybe it's a stretch...

I'm getting even more excited about Strobel. I see him as the next RVB, though I think he'll play right away given the opportunity available on DL.
ReplyDeleteBolden and Ross are a couple of extremely productive guys and drawing rave reviews. It's nice to be recruiting linebackers who play linebacker instead of trying to manufacture them out of defensive backs.

Also, also, did Johnson really finish the season 85 yards shy of the Michigan single season record?
Wormleys production seems great to me considering all the double teams you see him taking, on par with the other Dlinemen. I was looking forward to Bradens numbers.

Yeah, Johnson was really close. Unfortunately, he ran into a stingy DCC defense.
Wormley's numbers are okay. They're not out of this world, but numbers aren't everything, I guess.
