It seems to me that Russell Bellomy should be the number two QB and that Devin's athleticism should be explored at the WR position in order to get him on the field [which seems like what the staff is thinking long term].
Devin may have been nervous in this game I don't know, but [to me] he seemed to struggle throwing the ball. He did well running it but he has to have better results throwing it from what I can see.
All Bellomy really showed is that he can check down and hit fullbacks or crossing receivers. I'm not saying that's horrible, but that's not exactly a winning recipe, either. Nick Sheridan could have done what Bellomy did on Saturday.
For a red-shirt Freshman, Gardner did pretty well.
