Wow, ESPN just is not impressed by Henry Poggi. Other services list him as one of our top recruits, espy list him as one of our bottom recruits :/ Then again, Rivals is hatin on Conley, not really sure what that discrepancy is, either. He's either our second best recruit, or our second lowest, not both.
ReplyDeletePoggi is considered the 250th best recruit out of thousands and thousands of seniors across the country. Saying ESPN is "not impressed" is going a little overboard.
DeleteHe's either our second best recruit, or our second lowest, not both. I beg to differ... it appears to me that he is absolutely both. If you check ESPN, he's our second highest, and if you check rivals, he's our second lowest.
DeleteIf you check TTB, he's tied for our twelfth best recruit, or similarly or tied for 8th worst.
All in all though, rankings matter a little bit, but everything is on a bell curve. There are PLENTY of two stars and three stars that turn out exceptional, and there are plenty of 4 and 5 stars who are busts.
I would prefer each site to only have 250 4 or 5 star rankings, a set amount of 3 star rankings, and then a set amount of 2 and even 1 star rankings. That way they would actually mean something.
Did Joey Bosa de-commit from OSU or was it just an oversight that you did not include Ohio St
ReplyDeletebeside his name?
(Please be the former...)
Oh don't be so serious. I guess I meant they aren't nearly as impressed as the other 3 recruiting services, who are greatly impressed and list him as a higher caliber player than ESPN does. I suppose someone has to defend ESPN, though. Props for that.
