Defensive coordinator Greg Robinson: Robinson's defense tallied a whopping 9 sacks in Texas's 41-16 win over Texas Tech.
Head coach Rich Rodriguez: Arizona ended its regular season on a downer with a 58-21 loss to Arizona State. Ka'Deem Carey finished the game with 32 carries for 157 yards and 1 touchdown, but quarterback B.J. Denker threw 3 interceptions. Arizona ends the year at 7-5.
S Ray Vinopal: Vinopal had 4 tackles and 1 pass breakup in Pitt's 41-31 loss to Miami.
I have watched Pharaoh Brown a bit this year. He looks like a nice receiving threat on offense. UM wanted him as a DE, but I do not believe he would have panned out there. Oregon's' system may be a factor, but he has not bulked up much and he appears to be more of a finesse TE than a blocker. I was pretty annoyed when he and UM parted ways, but I'm thinking he would have wound up on offense at UM too.

ReplyDeleteRichRod seems to be having similar seasons out in AZ with moderate success and downside...5 losses. I had thought he would do better out west with his style being more acceptable.
ReplyDeleteThe other thing of note is GreRobinson at TX... 9 sacks... unbelieveable! Do we trade GREG for Mattitson straight up.
