Don't think they had much of an option with Funchess. He even struggled with blocking CB's from the WR position, let alone undersized MAC OLB's from the TE position. The coaches just need to send him out on a pattern every play.
I think with him it's a consistency thing. Watching past highlights, he does make some pretty nice blocks at times, but yes, he struggles even to block CBs with regularity.
So Khalid Hill is officially a TE, or Y. Had thought he might be an H-back. . .
