ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2017

Camden (NJ) Camden center Cesar Ruiz was offered by Michigan. He's a 6'4", 290 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Penn State, and Rutgers, among others. He's a 247 Sports 4-star, the #1 center, and #257 overall. Ruiz is a powerful blocker who actually struggles a bit with snapping, but he could play some guard if the snapping thing becomes an issue long-term. Camden is also the home of 2016 defensive end Ron Johnson, Jr. and wide receiver Brad Hawkins, the former of whom is committed to Michigan and the latter of whom will quite possibly be a Wolverine by Friday. Michigan is the early leader.

Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage cornerback Marco Wilson was offered by Michigan. He's a 5'10", 163 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Ohio State, and South Carolina, among others. He's a 247 Sports 4-star, the #12 cornerback, and #185 overall. He's a quick, hard-nosed kid with good instincts. The early leader appears to be the Gamecocks.

Hit the jump for several guys who committed elsewhere, plus some random bits.

OFF THE BOARD
West Union (IA) North Fayette defensive tackle Juan Harris committed to Iowa for the third time. This is one of the weirdest recruitments in memory. He committed to Iowa in December 2014, then decommitted in January 2015. Then he committed to Iowa later that same month, only to decommit in March. He went on a bunch of visits this spring, and the big-time programs aren't biting - reportedly because Harris is 6'4", 387 lbs. and severely out of shape. Michigan offered earlier this spring, but the rumor is that they essentially rescinded their offer after watching him a bit longer.

Stafford (TX) Stafford wide receiver Hezekiah Jones committed to Baylor. All five of his Crystal Ball choices were in favor of Texas A&M, so you can't always trust those things.

Denton (TX) Guyer quarterback Shawn Robinson, a 2017 prospect, committed to TCU. He probably qualifies as the Horned Frogs' biggest recruit ever (he's #10 overall and the #1 dual-threat QB for 2017), and they pulled off a bit of a stunner since almost everyone expected Robinson to end up at Texas.

Cypress (TX) Cy-Fair tight end Brock Wright, another 2017 prospect, committed to Notre Dame. Wright took a trip through the midwest recently and visited Michigan, but Notre Dame was the front-runner to begin.
