    1. The competition isn't great, but New Jersey is a very productive state for football. And to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the teams that come out of New Jersey. They have a lot of very good individual players, but the teams are questionable. You see better coaching, team unity, etc. in squads from Texas, Florida, California, Ohio, etc.

    2. competition is awful. its impossible to compare football in north jersey vs south jersey. south jersey produces some athletes (and mitchell looks like a player) but the overall team quality, depth, etc really lacks

  2. What are your thoughts about him being at OSU the day before he visits Michigan? Seems a little odd to me having them back to back...

    1. I don't think it's odd. He's going on a midwest swing with his mom. Logistically, it's easier to do that than make separate trips from New Jersey to states that are connected to each other.

    2. So...he visits OSU, is blown away - commits on the spot...or be a silent commit to OSU and show up to UM anyways (trolling?) what's the point to have had a visit setup with Michigan?

Go see OSU - take some time to think about it - and decide whether to then visit Michigan - or the reverse.

Just two diametrically opposed teams back to back (offense, coaches, etc.).

  3. Or his family, like most American families, has limited amounts of discretionary income and needs to visit as many schools as possible when within driving distance. You are overthinking this.

  4. I question his speed as we know the competition is awful and he seems to barely be able to out run some of these scrubs. On the positive side, he really has a knack for catching the ball away from his body in his hands and secures it well. However we have a roster full of 'possession' type receivers and really desperately need some burners like Edwards and Maningham brought us once upon a time.

    1. He ran a 4.67 at a SPARQ combine. He's not a blazer, but he has enough speed that I'm not too worried about it.

    2. Bummer - thought he was faster than 4.7ish. On Mgo he has been advertised as a speed burner who will take the top off a defense but is raw. So it sounds like he is just raw.

My worry is Derrick Green. Despite a high ranking Urban didnt make him a high priority and it seems the same with Mitchell.

    3. Do not worry...Urban is not a better talent evaluator than Harbaugh. I would also argue that Harbaugh did more with less than Urban has at any of his stops (Utah was impressive, but not as much as taking a 1 win Stanford to the orange bowl in 4 years).

  5. His teammate #3 on defense has some speed, watch the pickpick return, #3 is opopposite side of the field. Right before the two minute mark.
