NOTE: I thought I posted this in the middle of last week, but turns out I forgot to make it live. So now you get it on the morning of Week 2.
Detroit Lions defensive end Hutchinson made 3 tackles in a 21-20 win over the Chiefs, but he was constantly double-teamed. And in the NFL season debut on TV, the broadcasters constantly talked about how the Chiefs were "cheating" via false starts and illegal alignments to prevent Hutchinson from getting to Patrick Mahomes.

This list is getting long!
ReplyDeleteTrue fact. Harbaugh has this program going in the right direction
DeleteIndeed it is! It always gets a little shorter as the season goes along, since some guys will get cut or have season-ending injuries, surgeries, etc. Most of the guys on this list are pretty safe, but there was some talk in the off-season that Donovan Peoples-Jones could get cut. And Chris Evans hasn't been much of a factor in Cincinnati.
DeleteOn that note - Chris Hinton made the Chargers again, but he's a 3rd string who I don't think has seen a snap yet. If an injury strikes on the DL he might move on up. If it strikes elsewhere he might be at risk.
DeleteI appreciate the series as a person whose NFL interest is highly variable.
