  1. Richardson seemed overrated for a while, despite his offer list, but then seemed to play pretty well from the reports. It's encouraging how well Cass did overall.

Richardson had a great season last year, and it seems that teams avoided throwing at him this year. He still had a good year and made some plays on offense. I think he's a little underrated at #217 overall, but not criminally so.

  3. What's your opinion on Dunn? I am really skeptical of all the hype that this kid will come to UM. I mean, its December and he's still committed to Ohio! Which obviously means has been committed to them for quite a long time now. I think if this kid were truly re-thinking his commitment, he would have de-committed by now and re-opened his recruitment. I wonder how much he simply likes the attention. And the fewer details he gives when interviewed, the more attention he gets - for, my guess is, that if he actually gave more details we would all realize that his heart is with OSU. I think all the UM fans that seem to take it for granted that Dunn will be blue are in for a rude shock - which should not be so shocking at all.

I'll answer your question in three parts:

I like Dunn as a player. He reminds me of Anthony Thomas. And while I don't think he's going to win any Heismans, I do think that he'll be a very productive college running back.

I am skeptical that he will choose Michigan, too. But that's largely because I'm generally skeptical and I often don't believe things will happen until they do. You can never trust what a high schooler says...not because they're lying, but because too often they're influenced by the opinions of others.

However, I strongly disagree that he likes the attention. I think Dunn is a pretty shy kid overall. I think he's trying to give people what they want by giving them information, but he doesn't want to give too much or he doesn't know exactly what he wants. Keep in mind that Kyle Kalis decommitted from OSU and got all kinds of hateful comments from Ohio people, so I wouldn't be surprised if Dunn waits until the last minute, commits to U-M, and then gets out of town to enroll early in Ann Arbor. Dunn seems like a good kid, so I wouldn't be so pessimistic about his motivation.

  5. I appreciate your thoughts on Dunn. I'll withhold judgment on his motivations, as your opinion that he is just shy is as good of an explanation, if not a better one, than mine. Especially with what happened to Kalis. We'll find out soon enough!
