Highlights: Virginia Tech at East Carolina

  1. I'm going to try to not overestimate Michigan, but even from the Virginia game, and the Clemson rematch I didn't see anything from the Hokies resembling the same intensity my Wolverines played with this year. Clemson obliterated Virgina Tech twice and Michigan is better than Clemson. Michigan should dominate the trenches on offense and on defense, protecting our quarterback, opening up the running lanes, and disrupting their offense. VT's only hope is the same hope Ohio had, constant blitzing and the deep ball. East Carolina was only the Hokies second game so I won't base their upcoming bowl performance on it but it was a pretty poor showing by them, as was the Duke game.

I only saw VT play a couple times this year, but I have to admit that I wasn't particularly wowed by anything they had to offer. Outside of David Wilson being a good runner and Logan Thomas being a load running the ball at the QB position, there's not a whole lot to be afraid of.
