ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2022

Bryan Allen, Jr. - S - Aledo (TX) Aledo: Allen is a 6'0", 180 lb. prospect with offers from Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. He's a 4-star, the #5 safety, and #71 overall. As a sophomore in 2019, he recorded 122 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 3 fumble recoveries, 2 of which went for touchdowns. He attends the alma mater of Michigan offensive guard Chuck Filiaga.

Nicholas Anderson - WR - Katy (TX) Katy: Anderson is a 6'2", 185-pounder with offers from Miami, Notre Dame, and Texas, among others. He's a 3-star, the #62 wide receiver, and #428 overall. His two older brothers are defensive end Ryder Anderson (Ole Miss) and running back Rodney Anderson (Oklahoma/Cincinnati Bengals).

Chace Biddle - S - Garland (TX) Garland: Biddle is a 6'0", 190 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. He's a 4-star, the #8 safety, and #84 overall.

Elijah Davis - S - Auburndale (FL) Auburndale: Davis is a 6'1" prospect with offers from Nebraska, Pitt, some directional Florida schools, and more. He's currently unranked. Based on his film, he's a very athletic player but somewhat raw.

Hit the jump for more.

Pierre Goree, Jr. - RB - Duncanville (TX) Duncanville: Goree is a 6'1", 210-pounder with offers from Arkansas and Kansas. With 10.8 speed in the 100 meters and playing at a powerhouse, I'm surprised more schools have not come calling.

Nyair Graham - LB - Camden (NJ) Camden: Graham is a 6'1", 185 lb. prospect who committed to Maryland back in December 2020. He's a 3-star, the #31 outside linebacker, and #447 overall. Michigan offered a while ago, but I did not mention him at the time.

Taylor Groves - CB - Cross Plains (TN) Easter Robertson: Groves is a 6'2", 175-pounder with offers from LSU, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others. He's a 4-star, the #33 wide receiver, and #242 overall. I like Groves on both sides of the ball.

Jason Llewellyn - TE - Aledo (TX) Aledo: Llewellyn is a 6'4", 235 lb. prospect with offers from Arkansas, Baylor, and others. He's currently unranked.

Jacoby Mathews - S - Ponchatoula (LA) Ponchatoula: Mathews is a 6'1", 204-pounder with offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas, among others. He's a 4-star, the #6 safety, and #74 overall. Mathews is a lefty high school quarterback, but he will end up on defense in college.

Myles Pollard - CB - Brentwood (TN) Ravenwood: Pollard is a 6'1", 180 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, and Washington, among others. He's a 3-star, the #35 cornerback, and #372 overall. He's a former teammate of Michigan freshman linebacker Junior Colson.

Hayden Schwartz - DT - Jacksonville (FL) The Bolles School: Schwartz is a 6'4", 244 lb. prospect with offers from Penn State and Stanford, among others. He's a 3-star, the #35 defensive tackle, and #457 overall. He's undersized for tackle right now, but it looks like he will grow into an interior player.

Devin Smith - LB - Orange Park (FL) Oakleaf: Smith is a 6'2", 235-pounder with offers from Florida, Florida State, and Miami, among others. He's a 3-star, the #36 outside linebacker, and #523 overall.

Keaten Wade - LB - Spring Hill (TN) Summit: Wade is a 6'4", 210 lb. prospect with offers from Kentucky and Tennessee, among others. He's a 4-star, the #17 outside linebacker, and #193 overall. He's a long, lanky, part-time quarterback and part-time running back, but he probably needs to spend some time in the weight room and the cafeteria building himself up to play outside linebacker.

  1. I'm all for recruiting some 'true' DTs but I'd rather they were 290 than 330 coming out of HS. Room to grow is better than someone who has to cut bad weight and then rebuild. Guys that heavy also tend to be too tall to be block eaters anyway (like Will Campbell).

Would certainly not complain about another Bryan Mone though.

    1. Alabama's freshman 2nd string NT was 320 coming oyt of high school, and that after losing weigh to play quicker.

    2. Michigan is not Alabama.

Those guys exist but Michigan hasn't landed them often. Mone is the only jumbo NT recruit that panned out. Most of our good DTs did not come in over 300 and we've had plenty of excellent ones in the last decade. Most players add weight in college so you can expect a 285 pound recruit to end up well over 300.

  2. Looks like we're on the verge of a commitment from a big 318 pound true DT. Should be an instant contributor. Very good news.
