  1. I like this kid but I'm changing the subject.

One of the more interesting things to wonder about this spring is the position switches of Giudice and Lorenzetti. On paper they're pretty close to the exact same guy, good Italian boy standing 6'5, weighing 290. Seemingly interchangeable, and evidently they are, as Giudice goes to OG and Lorenzetti moves to the Mike Morris position ... guessing on that part, but that's what his physical dimensions indicate.

So, does anyone have a clue here? There was momentary buzz having to do with Giudice wanting/able to maul people. I've heard nothing regarding Lorenzetti one way or the other.

Giudice got a Thunder ranking of 58 which is a partly position/roster dependent thing. Lorenzetti got an 84 and was compared favorably to El Hadi. Lorenzetti received praise for his feet. Giudice has gained significantly more weight proportionally than has Lorenzetti who came in maybe 20 lbs heavier.

So ... Are they both failed guys making depth moves? Is Lorenzetti's feet giving him a shot as a 3/5 guy who can cover ground. Is Giudice really that bad ass as a guard prospect? Is Lorenzetti unable to get big enough to play OL at Michigan? Is Giudice's ability to gain weight providing him with a shot to be an interior OL? What are the traits/requirements for either position that makes almost identical bodies at this moment in time better suited for one side of the ball or the other?

    I'll hang up and listen.
