ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2024

Micah Kaapana - RB - Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman: Kaapana is a 5'11", 195 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona State, BYU, Oklahoma State, and Utah, among others. He's a 3-star, the #51 running back, and #612 overall.

Elijah Newby - LB - Cheshire (CT) Cheshire Academy: Newby is a 6'4", 200 lb. prospect with offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, Penn State, and USC, among others. He's a 3-star, the #59 linebacker, and #642 overall. This is the same school that sent wide receiver Tarik Black to Michigan in the 2017 class.

Nnamdi Ogboko - DT - Durham (NC) Riverside: Ogboko is a 6'5", 320-pounder with offers from Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and others. His highlight film is titled "Nigerian Nightmare," which brings back fond memories of former Kansas City Chiefs running back Christian Okoye:

OFF THE BOARD

Atlanta (GA) Pace Academy defensive tackle Hevin Brown-Shuler (4-star, #23 DL, #205 overall) committed to Clemson.

Little Rock (AR) Mills defensive tackle Charleston Collins (4-star, #26 DL, #221 overall) committed to Arkansas.

Waukesha (WI) Catholic Memoral offensive guard Donovan Harbour (4-star, #8 IOL, #145 overall) committed to Penn State.

Arden (NC) Christ linebacker Cayden Jones (4-star, #14 LB, #155 overall) committed to Alabama.

Esko (MN) Lincoln safety Koi Perich (3-star, #50 S, #547 overall) committed to Minnesota. He visited Michigan a few weeks prior and earned an offer following the visit.

MISCELLANEY

Here's a link to Michigan's visitors list from this past weekend (LINK).

Here's a scouting report on 2024 tight end Brady Prieskorn (LINK).

Another blast from the past: Miami (FL) Columbus running back Willis McGahee IV (3-star, #42 LB, #460 overall) committed to Nebraska. He did not have a Michigan offer, but football fans of a decent age certainly remember his father, a standout running back from the Miami Hurricanes who blew out his knee against Ohio State but then had a nice NFL career, mostly with the Buffalo Bills.

  1. I'll take Ogboko. Actually, I want Ogboko. If he weighs 320 lbs which I believe, 240 of it is in his butt and thighs.

The kid is the definition of power. He makes all of the real young lineman mistakes which Thunder will surely itemize on his (hopefully) commitment post, but he has a nice swim move that he pulls out some and the under the arm leverage move that I don't have the proper name on, which he also works pretty well. He runs well enough to catch dawdling backs from behind.

The play that impressed me didn't start so great for him as in a double, he got caught from underneath, stood up and moved, but had the RB with his eyes, let himself get pushed toward the play, disengaged and caught the kid from behind.

For sure, you ain't gonna win running at him.
