  1. I'm Glad for Erik Swenson. Has had and is having a great university football experience at Oklahoma. I'm sure he doesn't miss his Michigan experience at all but I remember the "scandal" at a time when Michigan was in dire need of OL's.

  2. So many 2016 guys

The Fresno State and SDSU wins were very entertaining. Football junkies may want to look out for the Every Snap videos

  3. Not an ex-Michigan commit, but here's a piece on a 3d string QB being pegged as a potential transfer (because in today's CFB, it's normal) ... one potential destination? Ann Arbor

    1. I liked Bailey as a pure thrower coming out of high school, but I do not think he would be a good fit for what Michigan is doing right now. He's a pocket QB and not much of an RPO or run guy, even less mobile than McNamara.

    2. I don't know how to say this diplomatically enough, because I dont like to be down on people, but with Milton out Tennessee suddenly is scoring.

    3. @JDD

I think Hooker should probably start but he's not set the world on fire as you suggest. It was 13-14 against Pitt when Milton went down and Tenn had scored on 3 of the first 4 drives before the play he got hurt on. They lost by a TD. The next week they played a complete cupcake.

Heupel isn't committing to anything yet.

      BGSU wasn't a cupcake? A team that hadn't won a game since November 2, 2019?

Milton: 51% completions, 5.4 YPA, 1 TD in about 1.5 games
Hooker: 70% completions, 8.3 YPA, 5 TD in about 1.5 games

It's a special kind of bias when a a guy leads UT to a touchdown and two field goals...and his backup comes in to lead the team to 3 touchdowns...and it's like, "Well, guys, it's tough to say who played better."

77 team points with Hooker, 51 points with Milton in roughly equal playing time.

      Hmmm...let's think about this one...

    5. Maybe he used the wrong account to spout that mess ...

As I've said, it's not stats or film, it's both. I can't remember seeing a P5 QB so regularly wavive his receivers "no, no, go deeper" as if they're on a playground, only to overthrow by 10yds, or take a sack

It's not only about stats, because not all stats are equal. But you have to watch & understand the game to comprehend just how bad someone is playing

    6. Man you guys are something else.

Me: Hooker should probably start over Milton.

JE. Hooker sucks. Milton sucks even worse. Worst ever. Admit it liar!

Thunder. Comparing to McCaffrey is apples and oranges but these handful of series against cupcakes are definitive proof that Milton tried to light Michigan stadium on fire on his way out of town.

    7. Yes, playing against BSU and Tenn Tech are different. Tenn Tech got shut out by Furman and play in the OVC. But setting that aside,

Is 77 vs 51 meaningful? Hmmm...let's think about this one...

Michigan splits in the first half of this year and the second half of the year are 75 vs 58. So you can not change your starting QB at all and still get a point swing that looks exactly the same based on context - even including 2 different cupcakes.

That point difference is certainly not the difference between "not scoring" and "suddenly scoring"

    8. Think of Cade as the placebo in a medical trial.

They're both cupcakes. Let's just call it what it is. One might be vanilla, and one might be chocolate, but they're both cupcakes.

  4. Will Hart putting in work!

Giles Jackson might not be much of a receiver if he's still not producing anything while UW's WR depth chart is this depleted. Worthy OTOH looks like a big loss.

    Hefley may have whiplash (figuratively).

I'm watching Charbonnet and Gray because they were both committed to Michigan at one time and I preferred the lower ranked Gray. They both seem pretty good so it's probably trivial.

Rich Rod, Brown, Fisch stock down. Up for Hoke.

    1. Fisch/Brown have a grace period this year, but they have to put a W up and soon or there'll be some stern talks between coach and AD.

Pleased to see Hoke doing well. He's in a good spot.

I honestly don't see how Rodriguez goes anywhere but further down if he fails at ULM.

    2. Rodriguez's fall has been both rapid and steady. That's gotta be tough. Hopefully he invested his money wisely.

  5. Thanks for posting these Thunder. With so many guys it's hard to keep track. Good to see some former wolverines like JKP and Walker taste a bit of individual success.

  6. Charbonnets two TDs were nice.
I didnt know ubtil yesterday that the head coach at Fresno was thr OC at Indiana last year. The guy myst be the real deal. Fresno almost beat Oregon a few weeks ago. And it looks like Indiana really misses him.

    1. DeBoer was the OC at Indiana in 2019. Last year Nick Sheridan became the OC.

  7. Xavier Worthy made a good choice. Texas is a better fit for an electric WR
