  1. By offering Standifer (and Jaleel Johnson), does this mean the staff is not optimistic about the more highly sought-after prospects we have on the board (with interest in Michigan) such as Armani Reeves, Terry Richardson and others? With M being Standifer's only bigtime offer, I'd expect him to jump on it pretty quickly, yes?

I think Standifer is just another option. He offers some position flexibility and some skills that those other guys have. He could be a safety, and if he plays corner, he's probably a boundary corner (whereas Richardson would probably be a field corner). I wouldn't be surprised to see us take two corners, because we were gunning for one before Cullen Christian left. I think some of those corners you're talking about are still in play, but I'm not optimistic about Reeves now that Camren Williams committed to PSU.

I don't know that Standifer will jump on the offer immediately. It seems he's picking up interest from other schools, too, and he might want to see where that goes. However, I would guess U of M is in the driver's seat right now.
