Wow, this list is getting long. Good work keeping up ... and there's still 2016 guys here
ReplyDeleteYeah, the transfer portal stuff is going to make this list pretty substantial going forward. But as the season goes along, it starts to get whittled down once people get injured, decide they're unhappy and transfer again, etc. I also won't bother with updating news on the linemen, since "______ played as a backup offensive guard" is pretty boring.
DeleteThis is one of my favorite features. I don't know why. It just is. Thanks for doing the leg-work to produce this.
ReplyDeleteFor Arizona, you can make that Fisch / Brown going forward, I suppose.
It'll be interesting to see how those two do at Arizona. I've lived in Tucson since 2005, and in all that time I've never felt the town really cared much about the football team. A little, but not a lot.
With respect to Rich Rodriguez, is this his last stop? Let's say ULM sputters and fails on offense this year. Would that (finally) invalidate his theories on offense? I've felt for some time his ideas were novel in the mid-2000s, but have become outdated vs. today's defenses. His Arizona offense never did that well, nor did his Ole Miss offense, and this one game does not portend much success. But we'll see.
Man I forgot about Crawford already. Other than Charbonnet the other backs that left weren't so impressive.
ReplyDeleteRough start for Fisch and Brown.
Thanks for the udpates
It wasn't really rough. I mean yeah, they lost. But if maybe 20 to 25 little thing throughout the game had been done better by Arizona they may have won. And they can definitely get better and do those little things better. There was a point in the game they were playing great on both offense and defense. They were fun to watch then.
DeleteZC, player of the week
ReplyDeletehttps://uclabruins.com/news/2021/9/7/football-charbonnet-anderson-named-pac-12-players-of-the-week.aspx
I see in one article they call him The Terminator now. I didn't catch why they call him that.
DeleteIf Giles Jackson wanted to get more touches, hes going to get it now. Washington has big injury problems at WR. But he is mostly healthy.
ReplyDeleteXavier Worthy might becone a superstar under Steve Sarkasian.
Where is Kurt Tayler?.
I couldn't find info on Taylor. He's no longer on Tennessee Tech's roster. I guess maybe he's done with football.
DeleteBesides Emil Ekiyor and Te'Cory Couch, would any of these players make a meaningful contribution to this year's team? The others like Giles Jackson, Zach Charbonnet and Erik Swenson are probably nice to have but would not make much of a difference.
ReplyDeleteI would take Giles Jackson and Zach Charbonnet back immediately. A 4 headed beast in the backfield! But Charbonnet is getting treated better out there. Hope he wins the Heisman. He'd be a candidate if the award went today. I KNOW IT'S A LONG WAY TO GO. NO ONE REPLY ABOUT IT ONLY BEING SEPTEMBER, you internet know it alls.
ReplyDeleteIt's only September.
DeleteBut we knew last November that Haskins and Corum are good.
Would love to have Jackson on the other side tonight for kick returns but honestly I was more impressed with him when he played RB.
I'm not pining to have any of our transfers back at the moment though I do think that could change with the kid at Tennessee
No preview and predictions this year?
ReplyDeleteI'll go with UM 26, UW 17 ... lots more running and short outside passes. Defense gets pushed, but not destroyed
I posted a prediction last week but forgot to also post it on Blogspot (it was only on Wordpress).
DeleteThis week I posted on Twitter a day or two before that I wasn't going to have time. I worked three 13-hour days last week and finished it up with a 21-hour day on Friday. Sometimes life gets in the way.
