ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2025

Covina (CA) Charter Oak linebacker LaVar Arrington II (3-star, #52 ATH, #587 overall) was offered by Michigan. He's a 6'4", 215 lb. edge rusher with offers from Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, and Washington, among others. His dad is, of course, former Penn State and NFL linebacker LaVar Arrington, who was the #2 overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. He made 417 career tackles, 23.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 1 touchdown, but his career was cut short by a motorcycle accident.

Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei cornerback Daryus Dixson (4-star, #9 CB, #74 overall) was offered by Michigan. He's a 6'0", 180-pounder with offers from Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, and USC, among others.

Denton (TX) Ryan offensive tackle Marcus Garcia (4-star, #30 OT, #330 overall) was offered by Michigan. He's a 6'5", 265 lb. prospect with offers from Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, among others.

Modesto (CA) Christian defensive end Alhassan Iddrissu (247 Sports 4-star, #23 EDGE, #207 overall) was offered by Michigan. He's a 6'7", 220-pounder with offers from Cal, Florida State, and USC. Iddrissu is originally from Ghana and first moved to California to play basketball, but now he's pursuing football as his primary sport. This past season was his first year playing football.

Denton (TX) Ryan offensive tackle Ty Haywood (4-star, #6 OT, #36 overall) was offered by Michigan. Haywood is 6'6", 280 lbs. and has offers from Alabama, Georgia, and numerous others. Along with Garcia (see above), Michigan has now offered two Ryan linemen in the 2025 class. That must be a beast offensive line.

Cypress (TX) Cy-Fair defensive tackle Landon Rink (4-star, #34 DL, #329 overall) was offered by Michigan. Rink is a 6'3", 281 lb. prospect with offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. His father, Shane Rink, played defensive tackle at Texas.

  1. I'll gladly take LaVar Arrington II, but dad still seems a little owchy about the 1997 game. I'm doubting that it happens for us.
