Kory Amachree - RB - Haslett (MI) Haslett: Amachree is a 6'0", 195 lb. prospect with officials set to Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern, Pitt, and Purdue. He's a 4-star, the #28 running back, and #367 overall. Michigan is in one some of the top few backs in the nation, but they could potentially turn to some other targets if the likes of Javian Osborne and Savion Hiter don't work out.

Simeon Caldwell - S - Jacksonville (FL) The Bolles School: Caldwell is a 6'3", 185-pounder with officials set for Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USC. He's a 4-star, the #7 linebacker, and #95 overall in the 247 Composite. He could potentially outgrow the safety position and end up at linebacker on the next level.

Chace Calicut - S - Houston (TX) North Shore: Calicut is a 6'3", 190 lb. prospect with officials set for Michigan, Texas, and Washington. He's a 4-star, the #14 safety, and #168 overall.

Jackson Cantwell - OT - Nixa (MO) Nixa: Cantwell is a 6'7", 300-pounder who is the #1 player in the country, according to the 247 Composite. He has set officials for Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, and Oregon. The state of Missouri has set up some nice rewards for players to stay and play within their home state, so this may be a tougher battle than in the past to pull him out of the state, along with the fact that the likes of Georgia, Miami, and Oregon are in the mix, and they all play the NIL game.

G'nivre Carr - OG - Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy: Carr is a 6'4", 336 lb. prospect with officials set for Florida, Georgia, Miami, and South Carolina. He's a 4-star, the #34 interior offensive lineman, and #394 overall.

Titan Davis - DE - St. Louis (MO) DeSmet: Davis is a 6'5", 238 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, and USC, among others. He's a 4-star, the #9 defensive lineman, and #92 overall in the class.

Hudson Dunn - LB - Peoria (AZ) Liberty: Dunn is a 6'1", 205-pounder with his lone official visit so far set for June 20 to Michigan. He's a 3-star, the #44 linebacker, and #546 overall.

Duyon "D.Q." Forkpa, Jr. - LB - Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy: Forkpa is a 6'0", 225 lb. inside linebacker type with officials set for Cincinnati, Florida State, Michigan, Minnesota, and UCF. He's a 3-star, the #32 linebacker, and #411 overall.

Preston Fryzel - TE - Toledo (OH) Central Catholic: Fryzel is a 6'4", 215-pounder with offers from Auburn, Arizona, Minnesota, North Carolina, and others. He's a 3-star, the #30 tight end, and #621 overall. He has yet to earn an offer from the Wolverines.

Sam Greer - OT - Akron (OH) Archbishop Hoban: Greer is a 6'6", 310 lb. prospect with offers from Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others. He's a 4-star, the #17 offensive tackle, and #188 overall.

Brian Harris - DT - Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin: Harris is a 6'3", 280-pounder with officials scheduled for Auburn, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Stanford, and West Virginia. He's a 3-star, the #58 defensive lineman, and #548 overall. He will be in town on Saturday, March 22.

Kealan Jones - S - Marietta (GA) Sprayberry: Jones is a 6'1", 185 lb. prospect with his lone official visit set for Georgia Tech. He's a 3-star, the #33 safety, and #411 overall. He will be in town for Thursday, March 20.

Breck Kolojay - OG - Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy: Kolojay is a 6'5", 320-pounder with officials set for Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. He's a 4-star, the #22 interior lineman, and #288 overall.

Jake Kreul - DE - Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy: Kreul is a 6'3", 230 lb. edge with offers from Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and USC, among others. He's a 4-star, the #5 edge, and #37 overall. He has yet to set any official visits.

Matt Ludwig - TE - Billings (MT) West: Ludwig is a 6'4", 240-pounder with a lone crystal ball prediction for Nebraska. He's a 4-star, the #13 tight end, and #237 overall. Georgia, Michigan, and Texas Tech are all slated to receive official visits.

Carter Meadows - DE - Washington (DC) Gonzaga: Meadows is a 6'6", 215 lb. pass rusher with offers from Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others. He's a 4-star, the #11 edge, and #98 overall. He was a high school teammate of 2025 Michigan signee Kainoa Winston.

Kelvin Obot - OT - Fruitland (ID) Fruitland: Obot is a 6'5", 265-pounder with offers from BYU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, USC, and Utah, among others. He's a 4-star, the #13 offensive tackle, and #147 overall. He's scheduled for a multi-day visit from March 23-26.

Jaylen Pile - WR - Dallas (TX) Parish Episcopal: Pile is committed to Michigan. He's a 6'0", 175-pounder who's ranked as a 3-star, the #93 wide receiver, and #586 overall. He will be in town from March 20-23.

Ian Premer - TE - Great Bend (KS) Great Bend: Premer is a 6'5", 220 lb. prospect who has a lone official scheduled for Kansas State, but he also has offers from Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, and USC, among others. He's a 4-star, the #4 tight end, and #42 overall in the class.

Hakim Satterwhite - CB - Washington (DC) St. John's: Satterwhite is a lanky 6'2", 180-pounder with a lone official visit set for Miami but also has offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, and others. He's a 3-star, the #41 cornerback, and #492 overall.

Marky Walbridge - OT - Needham (MA) St. Sebastian's: Walbridge is a 6'6", 270 lb. prospect with a lone official set for Michigan; he also has offers from Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others. He's a 4-star, the #36 offensive tackle, and #400 overall. He will be in town for multiple days, from March 21-23.

Thunder, you're involved in the high school game ... that Jackson Cantwell is a big boy, and given he's the #1 player at the that position, he's not just big but also very good at the tackle position. So a question: most high schools likely don't have a DE that can match up against that guy. From a defensive strategy viewpoint, what do you do to minimize or neutralize him? It is simply a question of doubling him up? Bringing heavier blitz pressure from elsewhere? What?

    1. I think it kind of depends on what talent you have. If you have a guy who can win SOME of those matchups or at least hold his own without getting totally caved, then you take a shot.

      But I'm more of a Bill Belichick mindset: Take 2 lesser talented guys and put them right in Cantwell's face, making him choose which one to take. And then take my best DE and put him on the opposite side, hopefully against a guy he can beat the majority of the time.
