With a bye week this weekend, it's a good time to take a look at what's coming. The following depth chart has removed these listed players from the roster:

  • RB C.J. Hester (transfer portal)
  • RB John Volker (graduation)
  • WR C.J. Charleston (graduation)
  • WR Donaven McCulley (graduation)
  • WR Fredrick Moore (left program)
  • WR Peyton O'Leary (graduation)
  • WR Anthony Simpson (graduation)
  • TE Max Bredeson (graduation)
  • OL Greg Crippen (graduation)
  • OL Giovanni El-Hadi (graduation)

It assumes that every currently rostered player and every currently committed prospect will be here in the fall of 2026, which is obviously not true.

Hit the jump for the depth chart.

  1. We need DL, across all four positions. This spot is be above WR, given our RunFirstRunOften identity

We need WRs. Young Marsh is okay, but we need a lot more and better

We need a SpTms coach. I'd love to welcome back partridge or jaybaugh, but they're unlikely options. We need a guy who can fix the mess and make SpTms an asset again

I have no idea about Safety, and that's reason to go after a dude

Next, get the best available. Going after Haynes was brilliant; keep getting after top talent who make our best compete and improve

    1. WTF man, how does Indiana have so many playmakers at WR. Just amazing grabs

    2. agreed on DL. quite evident since week 1 they dont have the horses theyve become accustomed to. 95 has been disruptive at times, 8 is a beast. other than that, this DL lacks playmakers. unfortunately havent seen much promise out of depth players either.

they need at least 2 DT and an edge. more if they cant rely on current depth guys to rapidly develop. somehow they lack playmakers with the hips & explosion to consistently shed blocks, play both sides of blocker, rush the passer. if the freshman class provides 1-2 rotation pieces, they still need to add 4-5 portal DL.

id like to see 2-3 LBs. they have no depth. sullivan looks like a player but not much behind him.

obviously WR is a problem. they need to find bryce at least another 2-3 legit targets.

QB, OL, DL are 3 most critical units on any team. QB & OL should be fine. but theyll struggle next year without adding multiple impact starters up front

  2. Hottake: Iowa's Punter has better hands (in the rain) than Semaj

    1. Good catch. I hoped he might see time this year as a short yardage body
