  2. I recently started reading a Song of Ice and Fire myself. I held off for a long time out of reluctance to make such a commitment. In the last 3 years I read all of the Dune books, the Dark Tower series, and Henry Miller's Rosy Crucifixion. I was trying to stay away from epic series. I should have dived right in. Game of Thrones is so great. Never a dull moment. I was expecting a lame LOTR clone, like what I experienced when I got about 100 pages in to Robert Jordan's "The Eye of the World", but what I got instead was a fantastic mythical tale weaving politics, sex, and fantasy unlike anything I have ever read. Excellent series!!

  3. I highly recommend a recently published author from Ann Arbor. Jason Porter's first book 'Why Are You So Sad?' is as philosophically engaging as it is funny.
Since you like to post attractive Michigan girls pics, I'd recommend worthwhile Michigan authors for your book list once you've read them/approved (go read it!).

Porter may not be a Michigan grad, but he's an Ann Arbor public school system grad via Slauson and Pioneer. Something about horseshoes and hand grenades...
