Way Too Early 2021 Depth Chart: April 2021

Aidan Hutchinson: Will he stay or will he go?

The following depth chart has removed the following players from the 2020 depth chart for various reasons:

  • LB William Mohan (transfer)
  • S Hunter Reynolds (transfer)
  • WR Giles Jackson (transfer)
  • C Zach Carpenter (transfer to Indiana)
  • RB Zach Charbonnet (transfer to UCLA)
  • WR Giles Jackson (transfer)
  • QB Joe Milton (transfer)
  • RB Christian Turner (transfer to Wake Forest)
  • LB Ben VanSumeren (transfer to Michigan State)
  • DE Luiji Vilain (transfer to Wake Forest)

It also assumes that every currently rostered player and every currently committed prospect will be here in 2021, which is obviously not true.

Hit the jump for the depth chart.

  1. @Thunder

This is mostly the same as a version I saw on Rivals with one major difference. They assume a 3-4 look while this is set up as a 4-3. I realize it's semantics sometimes but in this case it meant the starting personnel did not include a 220 pound LB (Colson or Solomon) and instead included another DT (Smith/Jeter/Hinton as the starting DL).

More important than the distinction above -- How do you think they will play against teams that deploy 3 WR? That will be the case on the plurality of downs if not the majority. Don Brown would have used the Viper to seamlessly flex between SAM/Safety/Nickel duties. What do you think McDonald might do?

    Thanks

  2. Looks like Nolan Rumler isn't working out as expected, at all.
From what Ive read, it looks like Trevor Keegan is going to start instead of Chuck Filiaga.
Also, from what I've read, Zak Zintor has made huge strides in improvement.

  3. Is it true Xavier Worthy is leaving the team?
