2021 Ex-Wolverine Updates: Week 4

FORMER PLAYERS

LB Jordan Anthony (Troy): Anthony made 3 tackles in a 29-16 loss to Louisiana-Monroe.

RB Zach Charbonnet (UCLA): Charbonnet had 23 carries for 118 yards and 1 touchdown in a 35-24 win over Stanford.

WR Kekoa Crawford (Cal): Crawford made 8 catches for 107 yards in a 31-24 loss to Washington.

P Will Hart (San Jose State): Hart punted 7 times for 310 yards (44.3 yards/punt) in a 23-3 loss to Western Michigan.

QB Ren Hefley (Presbyterian): Hefley completed 34/63 passes for 443 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions in a 63-43 loss to Dayton. He also ran 13 times for 24 yards and 1 touchdown.

WR Giles Jackson (Washington): Jackson had 1 kickoff return for 20 yards in a 31-24 win over Cal.

S Jaylen Kelly-Powell (Akron): Kelly-Powell made 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 sack in a 59-7 loss to Ohio State.

DE Aaron Lewis (Rutgers): Lewis did not record any stats in a 20-13 loss to Michigan.

WR Oliver Martin (Nebraska): Martin miss his fourth straight game.

QB Dylan McCaffrey (Northern Colorado): McCaffrey completed 25/40 passes for 199 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions in a 17-10 win over Northern Arizona (who beat Arizona last week). He also ran 5 times for 14 yards.

QB Joe Milton (Tennessee): Milton completed 2/8 passes for 54 yards and ran 1 time for 6 yards in a 38-14 loss to Florida. He entered the game late due to an injury to Hendon Hooker.

LB William Mohan (Tennessee): Mohan made 1 tackle in a 38-14 loss to Florida.

DT Phillip Paea (Utah State): Paea made 1 tackle in a 27-3 loss to Boise State.

QB Brandon Peters (Illinois): Peters completed 14/26 passes for 100 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions in a 13-9 loss to Purdue. He also got sacked 2 times for -20 yards.

S Hunter Reynolds (Utah State): Reynolds made 3 tackles in a 27-3 loss to Boise State.

RB O'Maury Samuels (New Mexico State): Samuels had 15 carries for 34 yards and 3 catches for 10 yards in a 41-21 loss to Hawaii.

LB Drew Singleton (Rutgers): Singleton made 5 tackles in a 20-13 loss to Michigan.

DT Aubrey Solomon (Tennessee): Solomon did not record any stats in a 38-14 loss to Florida.

RB Christian Turner (Wake Forest): Turner ran 12 times for 54 yards in a 37-17 win over Virginia.

LB Ben VanSumeren (Michigan State): VanSumeren made 1 tackle in a 23-20 overtime win against Nebraska.

DE Luiji Vilain (Wake Forest): Vilain made 2 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 sack in a 37-17 win over Virginia.

RB Kareem Walker (South Alabama): South Alabama had a bye. Walker has 53 carries for 208 yards (3.9 yards/carry) and 4 touchdowns in three games this season.

RB Tru Wilson (Northern Colorado): Wilson ran 6 times for 16 yards and caught 2 passes for 4 yards in a 17-10 win over Northern Arizona.

S J'Marick Woods (Duke): Woods did not play in a 52-33 win over Kansas.

CB Te'Cory Couch (Miami): Couch made 2 tackles in a 69-0 win over Central Connecticut State.

C Emil Ekiyor, Jr. (Alabama): Ekiyor is Alabama's starting center.

RB Eric Gray (Oklahoma): Gray had 12 carries for 38 yards and 2 catches for 52 yards in a 16-13 win over West Virginia.

OLB Stephen Herron, Jr. (Stanford): Herron made 1 sack in a 35-24 loss to UCLA.

C Jalil Irvin (Auburn): Irvin is a backup lineman for Auburn.

LB Branden Jennings (Maryland): Jennings made 4 tackles in a 37-16 win over Kent State.

RB Amauri Pesek-Hickson (Kansas): Pesek-Hickson made 1 catch for 14 yards in a 52-33 loss to Duke.

S Otis Reese (Ole Miss): Ole Miss had a bye. Reese has made 16 tackles and 1 tackle for loss.

S Antwaine Richardson (Kent State): Richardson did not play in a 37-16 loss to Maryland.

OT Erik Swenson (Oklahoma): Swenson is Oklahoma's starting left tackle.

TE Leonard Taylor (Cincinnati): Cincinnati had a bye. Taylor has 5 catches for 40 yards this season.

WR Xavier Worthy (Texas): Worthy made 5 catches for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 70-35 win over Texas Tech.

FORMER COACHES

Don Brown (Defensive Coordinator, Arizona): Brown's defense gave up 41 points to Oregon in a 22-point loss. Arizona is #64 in total defense, which is up from #116 in 2020.

D.J. Durkin (Defensive Coordinator, Ole Miss): Ole Miss had a bye.

Jedd Fisch (Head Coach, Arizona): Fisch is 0-4 as Arizona's head coach after a 41-19 loss to Oregon.

Brady Hoke (Head Coach, San Diego State): Hoke and the Aztecs are 4-0 after a 48-21 win over Towson.

Scot Loeffler (Head Coach, Bowling Green State): Loeffler is now 2-2 after a pretty big upset over Minnesota. The Falcons won 14-10 over the Gophers, who went from nearly upsetting Ohio State in the season opener to losing to BGSU.

Rich Rodriguez (Offensive Coordinator, Louisiana-Monroe): ULM beat Troy by a score of 29-16.

  2. Xavier Worthy is going to be elite ... sucks we couldn't hold on to him, but let's be honest: in Ann Arbor, he'd be limited to our second kick returner

  3. Interesting that our schedule is almost to a point where we are more likely to see a transfer on the other sideline than not.

    One other coach to note:

    Ed Warriner's FAU Owls are 2-2 after losing 31-7 to Air Force. They are 55th in rush yards per game nationally. Michigan is 5th.
