ReplyDeleteWatching those videos of games back then, the thought that came to mind was this: I do miss college football as it used to be. Yeah, it could just be nostalgia speaking; a yearning for a bygone era. But today's product on the field feels so much more professional/commercial, and I find myself drifting away from caring like I did back then when players were recruited and developed, and there was a sense of "knowing" the players better. Now with NIL and transfers, it just feels like a put-together team for this year, with very little continuity, and very little reason for personal allegiance.
