Darryl Stonum is now a Kansas City Chief
Former Michigan running back Michael Cox measured in at 6'0", 222 lbs. at the UMass pro day.  He ran a 4.58 forty, had a 4.08 shuttle, showed a 41" vertical, did 24 reps on the bench, and broad jumped 10'11".  He spent the 2012 season as a Minuteman and was selected in the 7th round (#253 overall) by the New York Giants.

Former Michigan defensive tackle commit DeQuinta Jones measured in at 6'4", 306 lbs. at the Arkansas pro day.  He proceeded to run a 5.4 forty and do 19 reps on the bench press, which got him signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.

Former Michigan running back Sam McGuffie tested at the regional combine prior to the NFL Draft with a 4.28 forty, a 41.5" vertical, 11.2" broad jump, a 3.8 shuttle, and 26 reps on the bench press.  He had been playing running back and wide receiver for the past few years at Rice, and on Saturday night, he signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent.

Former Michigan offensive tackle Dann O'Neill measured in at 6'7", 326 lbs., did 26 reps on the bench, and ran a 5.41 forty at his pro day.  He had been playing right tackle for Western Michigan for the past few seasons.  O'Neill signed with the Houston Texans on Saturday night as an undrafted free agent.

The guy in black was Jake Fisher in high school.

Former Michigan CB commit Demar Dorsey: Dorsey and former Michigan LB commit Antonio Kinard are both on Western Arizona Community College's football roster.  Dorsey was supposed to head to Hawaii and Kinard was supposed to be at Miami by now, but both have run into academic and/or legal issues.  Western Arizona CC is a repository of former high school talent, including former USC wide receiver Markeith Ambles and former South Carolina quarterback Tanner McEvoy.

Former Michigan OT commit Jake Fisher: Fisher jumped on a De'Anthony Thomas fumble in the end zone after Thomas caught a pass at Tennessee Tech's 49-yard line and almost scored himself.  It was Fisher's first career touchdown, which is probably an obvious statement.

Former Michigan RB commit Dee Hart: Hart had 4 runs for 21 yards as Alabama beat Arkansas by a score of 52-0.

Former Michigan S Carvin Johnson: Johnson had 5 tackles and 2 pass breakups, but Hampton lost to Florida A&M by a score of 44-20.

Ex-Wolverine Updates: Pre-Season 2012

Sam McGuffie is the face of the Rice Owls' program this fall
Some Michigan fans surely don't care much what happens to guys after they decommit or transfer from Michigan, but I'm not one of them.  I like to track them and see how they're doing elsewhere.  Most of the time, they don't find a ton of success on the football field.  But a few - like Toney Clemons, Anthony Fera, DeQuinta Jones, and Sam McGuffie - have become quality players for other FBS programs.  Here are some of the updates since last year, with more info to be found on the Ex-Wolverine Encyclopedia.

Former Michigan QB commit Shavodrick Beaver: Beaver sat out the 2011 season after transferring from Tulsa to Midwestern State.  He is listed as a 6'3", 193 lb. redshirt junior quarterback for the Mustangs.

Former Michigan CB Greg Brown: Brown is listed as a 5'11", 195 lb. defensive back on Findlay's roster.  He transferred shortly into the 2011 season after enrolling early in January 2011.

Former Michigan TE commit Pharaoh Brown: Brown is listed as a 6'6", 234 lb. freshman tight end on Oregon's roster.

Former Michigan CB Cullen Christian: Christian is listed as a 6'0", 195 lb. defensive back on Pitt's roster.  He is expected to start at cornerback for the Panthers this year.

Former Michigan WR Toney Clemons: Clemons was a 7th round draft pick out of Colorado in the 2012 NFL Draft.  He remains on the Steelers' roster at this point but did not have a catch in their first preason game against the Eagles.

Former Michigan CB commit Dallas Crawford: Crawford was Miami's Scout Team Player of the Year on defense, but he is now listed as a 5'11", 190 lb. running back on the Hurricanes' roster.

Former Michigan CB commit Demar Dorsey: Dorsey was supposed to enroll at Hawaii after transferring from Grand Rapids Community College, but he does not appear on Hawaii's roster for the upcoming season.  UPDATE: Dorsey is transferring to Western Arizona Junior College for the upcoming season.

Former Michigan S Vladimir Emilien: Emilien is listed as a 6'1", 204 lb. safety at Toledo after sitting out the 2011 season due to transfer rules.  He is expected to start this fall at a hybrid safety/linebacker position.

Former Michigan K commit Anthony Fera: Fera transferred from Penn State to Texas after the PSU sanctions were announced.  He currently has a groin injury and is not practicing with the Longhorns, but he is expected to start when healthy.

Former Michigan OT commit Jake Fisher: Fisher is listed as a 6'6", 294 lb. offensive lineman on Oregon's roster.  He is expected to start this year for the Ducks.

Former Michigan QB Tate Forcier: Forcier signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League after leaving San Jose State, but he was released from the team in June.  His current football status is unknown.

Former Michigan K commit Matt Goudis: Goudis is a redshirt freshman kicker at Miami.

Former Michigan FS Carvin Johnson: Johnson supposedly transferred to Hampton but does not appear on the Pirates' roster for the upcoming season.

Former Michigan DT commit DeQuinta Jones: Jones is listed as a 6'5", 299 lb. defensive tackle and is expected to start for the Arkansas Razorbacks this fall.

Former Michigan LB Kellen Jones: Jones left Oklahoma for Clemson, but does not appear on the Tigers' 2012 roster.

Former Michigan RB Sam McGuffie: McGuffie is listed as a 5'11", 200 lb. redshirt senior running back on the Rice Owls' roster, though he is expected to contribute mostly at slot receiver this fall.

Former Michigan WR commit Bryce McNeal: McNeal transferred from Clemson to UConn in the middle of last season, but he does not appear on the Huskies' roster for 2012.  EDIT: McNeal has instead transferred to Louisville, where it looks like he'll begin this season as a backup.

Former Michigan QB commit Kevin Newsome: Newsome transferred to Temple from Penn State in the offseason.  He will be eligible to play this fall, but will likely be a backup to the incumbent starter.

Former Michigan WR commit DeWayne Peace: Peace is listed as a 6'0", 190 lb. redshirt junior wide receiver for Houston.  He is expected to start at wide receiver this fall.

Former Michigan LB Davion Rogers: Rogers left the Youngstown State program after the 2011 season.  His current playing status is unknown.

Former Michigan QB commit Kevin Sousa: Sousa is listed as a 6'3", 230 lb. redshirt freshman on Wake Forest's roster.

Former Michigan OL commit Caleb Stacey: Stacey decommitted from Michigan and signed with Cincinnati instead, but he left the team prior to the beginning of fall camp.

Former Michigan CB commit Anthony Standifer: Standifer is listed as a 6'1", 180 lb. defensive back on Ole Miss's roster.

Former Michigan WR Je'Ron Stokes: Stokes is listed as a 6'1", 198 lb. redshirt junior wide receiver for the Bowling Green State University Falcons.  He is in the mix to start this fall.

Former Michigan CB Justin Turner: Turner is listed as a 6'3", 204 lb. defensive back for Scottsdale Community College, where he started last season.

Former Michigan S Ray Vinopal: Vinopal is listed as a 5'10", 190 lb. redshirt sophomore safety on Pitt's roster.  He is expected to start for the Panthers this season.

Former Michigan CB commit Adrian Witty: Witty is listed as a 5'10", 182 lb. cornerback for the Cincinnati Bearcats.  He is in the mix to start this fall.

Ex-Wolverine Updates: The Class of 2008

Former Michigan running back Sam McGuffie

Former Michigan cornerback Boubacar Cissoko spent the 2011 season (well, in the summertime) with the Detroit Downriver Diesels of the Great Lakes Football League.  His football season came after being released from incarceration for multiple offenses.  He ended the season with 13 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 pass breakup, 1 fumble recovery (returned 10 yards for a touchdown), and 2 kickoff returns for 63 yards.

Former Michigan wide receiver/quarterback Justin Feagin last played college football at Texas Southern University back in 2009.  Since that time he has not reappeared on a college roster, as far as I know.

Former Michigan linebacker Taylor Hill, who left Michigan prior to the beginning of his freshman season, has not played college football since 2009, when he was at Youngstown State University.  He redshirted in 2010, but did not appear on the 2011 roster at YSU.

Former Michigan running back Sam McGuffie spent an injury-plagued 2011 season at Rice.  He only played in 7 games due to a nagging ankle injury, totaling just 38 carries for 158 yards (4.2 yards per carry) and 1 touchdown.  He also completed his only pass attempt for 15 yards, caught 9 passes for 72 yards (8 yards per catch) and 1 touchdown, and returned 3 kickoffs for 55 yards.  He will be a fifth year senior in the fall and will battle with redshirt junior Turner Petersen for the starting job.  Check out this article for a nice story about Sam and his interactions with fans.

Former Michigan offensive tackle Dann O'Neill, who transferred to Western Michigan in 2009, started against Michigan in the 2011 season opener.  He was named Third Team All-MAC and will be a fifth year senior in the fall.

Former Michigan safety/linebacker Brandon Smith transferred to Temple prior to the 2010 season, but never appeared on the Temple roster and has apparently ended his college career.

Former Michigan offensive guard Kurt Wermers transferred to Ball State in 2009 after being academically ineligible at Michigan, but he never played a down for Ball State and has apparently ended his football career.

Former Michigan quarterback commit John Wienke threw just 1 pass this season . . . which was thrown to an Oklahoma Sooner.  Which is bad because Wienke plays for Iowa.  He ended the season with a -200.0 quarterback rating based on that 1 attempt.

Former Michigan tight end/H-back commit Christian Wilson just finished his senior year at North Carolina.  He had 10 catches for 107 yards in 2011.  He finished his career with 22 catches for 188 yards and 1 touchdown.

Former Michigan linebacker commit Marcus Witherspoon is out of football after transferring to Rutgers for a short period of time in 2008 and 2009.

Class of 2010 bonus update: Former Michigan safety Carvin Johnson has signed with Hampton University of the Football Championship Subdivision.  He will be a junior in the fall and should be eligible to play immediately.  This is the same school where Marell Evans spent a couple seasons prior to returning to Michigan.

For news on other former players and commits, check out the Ex-Wolverine Encyclopedia.

Former Michigan wide receiver Toney Clemons had 4 catches for 102 yards in Colorado's 17-14 win over Utah.  Since the Buffaloes aren't eligible to play in a bowl game, he finishes his fifth year senior season with 43 catches for 680 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Former Michigan commit and current Alabama wide receiver Marquis Maze had 4 catches for 18 yards in a 42-14 victory over Auburn.  He also had 1 rush for 1 yard.

Former Michigan running back Sam McGuffie missed yet another game due to injury on Saturday.  Rice isn't eligible for a bowl game this year, so he finishes his redshirt junior season with 38 carries for 158 yards and 1 touchdown.  He also caught 9 passes for 72 yards and 1 touchdown.

Former Michigan commit and current North Carolina H-back Christian Wilson had 1 catch for 8 yards in a 37-21 victory over Duke.

I couldn't find any pictures of the players from this week's games,
so you get Ashley Nicole Arthur instead.

Former Michigan WR Toney Clemons had 2 receptions for 18 yards in Colorado's 52-24 loss to Washington.

Former Michigan RB Sam McGuffie had his most productive day of the year with 10 carries for 70 yards and 1 touchdown.  Unfortunately, it came in Rice's 24-20 loss to Marshall.

Former Michigan RB Austin White, now at Central Michigan, was suspended indefinitely for breaking team rules.  White has not yet played for the Chippewas.
