Former Michigan commit K Anthony Fera averaged 39.0 yards a punt and went 3-for-4 on field goals in Penn State's 16-10 victory over Indiana.

Former Michigan LB Kellen Jones had 1 tackle for Oklahoma as the Sooners beat Ball State by a score of 62-6.

Former Michigan RB Sam McGuffie had 6 carries for -4 yards and 1 catch for 9 yards in Rice's 48-24 loss to Southern Miss.

  1. Are you really an 'ex-wolverine' based on a verbal commitment?

I don't know that I view Fera and Jones the same way I view guys that actually enrolled at Michigan, took classes, practiced with the team, and played games.

No, not really...but I think people (or maybe it's just me) are interested in seeing "what could have been."

McGuffie wasn't very productive at Michigan and hasn't exactly been tearing it up at Rice, either.

At Michigan: That's because he was thrust into the action as a freshman when he should have red-shirted. Very, very few freshman are productive fresh out the gate. And three concussions don't help.

At Rice: I don't have an answer, but I think he'd rather be a Wolverine regardless.

You really don't know what you're talking about. The vast majority of running backs who end up being college stars see a LOT of playing time as freshmen.

Your failure to answer the Rice question just makes you look rather silly.

  6. I tried posting earlier, didn't go through, trying again. Also not Anon @ 1223; someone else.

McGuffie has a knee injury and isn't playing much. As noted he only has 25 carries on the season. I don't know what the injury is but I saw a replay of him wearing a knee brace early in the year.

And honestly I don't get the McGuffie hate. Never have. He left UM for personal & family reasons, and people have been hating on the kid ever since.
