Reading through that list it amazes me players with so much potential could end up not doing that well. They clearly showed something in high school, otherwise they wouldn't have had the high rankings. So what went wrong? Poor coaching? Player comes in thinking he's going to skate by like he might have in high school?
The other thing that amazed me reading that was that schools like Indiana could pull a 5-star out of Florida.
Jeremy Finch was an Indiana kid that jerked quite a few people around some during the recruiting process, including us. I think he might have committed to Indiana only to decommit in favor of Florida where he might have played a little, struggled and decided to return home.
He was the first kid to get me thinking that bad recruiting stories can tend to lead to bad stories in general.
Yup. This is why I felt M McDowell might be a bad news for any team that signs him. Him and his parents obviously cannot make up their minds and appear to be fickle after 2~3 years of recruiting that included countless communications with coaches and campus visits. I wouldn't be surprised if he is yet another 5-star athlete who becomes a bust.
Football "busts" followed by a picture of a large-breasted girl in a bikini. I see what you did there.

DeleteI also hear that M McDowell came to his presser in a limo... Diva much?
DeleteGrady. That's got to be one of the worst busts ever.
ReplyDeleteAt least he played some and stuck with the team his entire time with Mich
DeleteYes. And he did not even come close to the hype..
DeleteI'd have to go with Kelly Baraka
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, forgot about him. He was finished before he started.
