Unless Michigan pulls any surprises late in the day (or after today, which is rare), that wraps it up for the 2014 recruiting class.
Good ol' sixteen, as Malik McDowell decided to earn that subpar State education w/ the nightlife there. I am happy that Peppers signed with us. Guys like Bunting and Winovich will also be great I think. Let's go blue!!!
ReplyDeleteMcDowell seems like a head case.
DeleteThat's what I have been thinking, too. Of course I'd want almost any five-star athlete and would love to have him -- but just the way his parents are and the fact that he took this long and this many visits to make a decision... makes me think that he is a head case. I know he is a young kid but nightlife is not a reason to choose a particular college, particularly if he has NFL hopes. The key is to stay low key and work hard. Partying hard is not going to get someone drafted.
DeleteOh my gosh, are you serious Suduri? Stop being a baby about a 17 year old kid. Michigan State isn't close to sub par, and is a very respectable university. If the University of Michigan didn't exist, Michigan State would be constantly talked about of how prestigious it is. And by the way, there's a small chance that he doesn't even sign there, because his mom might not sign the paper. At this point I don't know what to think of all this, I almost want him to sign with MSU to end all of this drama.
DeleteHey, calm down. This is a discussion forum, not a temple of political correctness. MSU is not good as UM, and that's a fact. UM not existing is a hypothetical question.
DeleteEvery topic "judges" recruits in some way. I am just uneasy with how much drama this kid's recruitment has been. A bit of red flag imo.
We have to go out and prove it on the field. I think Nuss will run a good offense this year. This in turn should recreate the buzz with the top prospects in the country moving forward!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very small class but one that I think will prove to be very valuable down the road. I see just about everyone one of these guys starting or contributing in a big way during their careers here.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Could've done better, but overall, I feel pretty good about the sixteen kids we signed. I see many of them making significant impact down the road.
