  1. Goode can run and is violent .. at least on his high school film. He was the fortieth defensive tackle in his class. If you sit and watch his film, it's hard to imagine 39 kids playing defensive tackle that were better than he was. DC high school football is really good, his team had a second kid about his size which ... Whoa!!! ... there are big and strong kids all over his film on both teams.

I do wonder about his head some as he walked out on Virginia Tech the week before his freshman camp. But ... kids ... I guess. I do like that he turned down Sparty. We would not have liked playing against him.

    I think we'll get him, he'll help.

Anybody know why Welschof didn't play in the spring game?

  2. St. John's is a powerhouse in DC. That's where Michigan got Quinten Johnson, and there have been a bunch of offers to kids from that place. I think the big question mark about Goode is simply his size.

My high school program had a kid who was a shade under 6'0". Coaches told him he would be a D1 player if he was over 6'0". He ended up playing D2 ball. Sometimes coaches (and recruiting services) get hung up on size.

I was told Welschof had a minor injury. It should not affect him going into the season.
