    McNamara chose Iowa.
    Though I think he could have done better
    But he did choose a team you listed. So you got it right.
    When I saw the news I wondered if the possibility of getting revenge on Michigan was a reason he went there. But for sure he will be the best QB Iowa has had in a long, long time. Maybe he felt he could be that, and that's why he chose them.

      I'm a bit surprised by his choice of Iowa, but that said, I would venture his motivation was not revenge against Michigan. For one thing, Iowa doesn't play Michigan in 2023, unless it was in the B1G championship game. I understand McNamara has more than one year of eligibility, but if he pinned his plan on getting back at Michigan, then Iowa would be an odd choice.

      McNamara is a good QB when he has a good pocket from which to work. He's not the best QB for offenses that look to leverage QB runs. Perhaps he saw Iowa as a good place to match his skills to their traditional offensive style. Perhaps also he was promised a starting role in 2023 there, and wasn't at other schools. Only he knows why he chose Iowa.

      I just checked, and Iowa was 110th in the country for sacks allowed, with 37. If he faces the same kind of pressure in 2023, it will be interesting.
