It will be very interesting to see how the Jabrill Peppers situation plays itself out, but there are some other battles going on, too. Nick Baumgardner highlights some of them.

Having position battles is all very well, but the crucial thing is the actual level of talent your starters and key reserves have. Having 4 or 5 guys competing for 2 spots doesn't do you much good if all of them are basically average talents. Hoke and Co. Need to start developing great recruits into great (not good, not solid, not "decent", but great) players. Until they do that, we're going to be perennial 8-9 wins at best.
