James Light Football: Notes from Jedd Fisch on quarterback coaching

Here are some clinic notes from Jedd Fisch, so they're a couple months old but I hadn't seen them before today (LINK).

  1. all sounds good, but I wonder what Thunder thinks of Jedd Fisch. He got into coaching at a high level relatively early, but he seems like hopping around for jobs every 1~2 years. He was recently fired by the Jags. Harbaugh also seems like not determined to keep him, as Harbaugh just gave him a one-year deal.

    1. I'm not really a big fan of what I have seen out of Fisch's quarterbacks. Yes, the things he said at the clinic sound good, and he has been coaching at high levels of competition. But I don't see the success at the QB position that I would like to see.

Part of the reason that Fisch may have signed the one-year deal is that the Jaguars are still paying him a ton of money. I don't know that it's because Harbaugh doesn't want him for long. Or maybe it's because Fisch said he wants to go back to the NFL as soon as possible, so Harbaugh decided to rent him for just a year.

    2. Enter Soup Campbell, arguably the best WR coach in all of football and everything ratchets up another notch ..... hopefully.

  2. I really like, " Play catch with a purpose. Get something out of the drill, slide, move, be an athlete. You never throw the ball from a stationery position."
