2024 Ex-Wolverine Updates: Week 6

NOTE: I meant to post this mid-week but somehow it slipped through the cracks, so this is for the games from eight days ago, not yesterday.

Here's a roundup of the former Michigan player, former commits, and former coaches (or players-turned-coaches). NOTE: I will not regularly post updates about offensive linemen since stats are minimal and just posting PFF grades is kind of boring, but I did this week just to show who's playing where and what their opening day role was.

FORMER PLAYERS

WR Andrel Anthony (Oklahoma): Anthony has not played since week one due to an injury.

LB Jeremiah Beasley (Missouri): Beasley did not record any stats in a 41-10 loss to Texas A&M.

QB Alan Bowman (Oklahoma State): Bowman completed 10/19 passes for 116 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions in a a 38-14 loss to West Virginia.

LB Semaj Bridgeman (Michigan State): Bridgeman did not record any stats in a 31-10 loss to Oregon.

CB Cam Calhoun (Utah): Utah (4-1) had a bye. Calhoun has 6 tackles, 1 interception, and 2 pass breakups this season.

C Zach Carpenter (Miami): Carpenter is Miami's starting center.

WR Darrius Clemons (Oregon State): Clemons made 2 catches for 11 yards in a 39-31 win over Colorado State.

WR Karmello English (West Georgia): English caught 7 passes for 132 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown, in a 20-16 loss to Austin Peay.

TE Louis Hansen (UConn): Hansen made a career-high 4 catches for 27 yards in a 29-20 win over Temple.

WR A.J. Henning (Northwestern): Henning made 6 catches for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 41-24 loss to Indiana.

OG Amir Herring (Kansas): Herring is a backup offensive guard for Kansas.

TE Matt Hibner (SMU): Hibner did not record any stats in a 34-27 win over Louisville.

LB Nikhai Hill-Green (Colorado): Colorado (4-1) had a bye. Hill-Green has 32 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 1 pass breakup this year.

K Cole Hussung (Louisville): Hussung is a backup kicker for Louisville.

WR Giles Jackson (Washington): Jackson made 4 catches for 78 yards and 1 touchdown in a 27-17 win over Michigan. He also ran the ball 1 time for 5 yards.

WR George Johnson III (FAU): FAU (2-3) had a bye. Johnson has 5 catches for 35 yards on the season.

DE Aaron Lewis (Rutgers): Lewis made 3 tackles, 1 tackles for loss, and 1 sack in a 14-7 loss to Nebraska.

QB Cade McNamara (Iowa): McNamara completed 14/20 passes for 98 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 1 interception in a 35-7 loss to Ohio State.

LB Hayden Moore (Washington): Moore did not record any stats in a 27-17 win over Michigan.

S Jordan Morant (Mississippi State): Mississippi State (1-4) had a bye. Morant has 4 tackles and 1 pass breakup this season.

S R.J. Moten (Florida): Moten made 5 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss in a 24-13 win over UCF.

DT George Rooks (Boston College): Rooks made 4 tackles in a 24-14 loss to Virginia.

S Keon Sabb (Alabama): Sabb made 9 tackles in a 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt was previously 0-60 against top-ten teams.

LB Joey Velazquez (Ohio State): Velazquez did not record any stats in a 35-7 win over Iowa.

TE Dan Villari (Syracuse): Villari did not record any stats in a 44-41 win over UNLV.

CB D.J. Waller (Kentucky): Kentucky (3-2) had a bye. Waller has 5 tackles and 1 pass breakup this year.

LB Cornell Wheeler (Kansas): Wheeler did not play in a 35-31 loss to Arizona State.

DT Alex VanSumeren (Michigan State): VanSumeren made 3 tackles in a 31-10 loss to Oregon.

DT Denver Warren (Sam Houston State): Warren made 2 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 sack in a 41-21 win over UTEP.

LB Raylen Wilson (Georgia): Wilson made 5 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in a 31-13 win over Auburn.

FORMER COACHES

Don Brown (Head Coach, UMass): Brown is now 1-5 after a 34-20 loss to Northern Illinois.

Ross Douglas (Wide Receivers Coach, Syracuse): Douglas is in his first season coaching the receivers at Syracuse under new head coach Fran Brown.

Jedd Fisch (Head Coach, Washington): Fisch and the Huskies are 4-2 after a 27-17 win over the Wolverines.

JaRaymond Hall (Asst. OL Coach, Wayne State): Hall is now the assistant offensive line coach and director of recruiting for Wayne State under head coach Tyrone Wheatley, who recruited Hall to Michigan in 2017.

Scot Loeffler (Head Coach, BGSU): Loeffler is 2-3 after a 27-20 win over Akron.

Curt Mallory (Head Coach, Indiana State): Mallory is 1-4 after a 21-14 loss to Youngstown State.

Jim McElwain (Head Coach, Central Michigan): Central Michigan is sitting at 3-2 after their bye week.

Desmond Morgan (Defensive Assistant, Memphis): Morgan is a defensive assistant at Memphis this season.

Biff Poggi (Head Coach, Charlotte): Charlotte is 3-3 after a 55-24 win over East Carolina.

Denard Robinson (Running Backs Coach, Lead Prep Academy): Robinson has been hired as the new running backs coach at Lead Prep Academy in Michigan.

Rich Rodriguez (Head Coach, Jacksonville State): Jacksonville State moved to 2-3 with a 63-24 win over Kennesaw State. Those 63 points represent the second-highest total in school history.

Roy Roundtree (Wide Receivers Coach, Miami-OH): Roundtree is in his first season at Miami-OH as the wide receivers coach.

Tyrone Wheatley (Head Coach, Wayne State): Wheatley is 0-5 after a 22-7 loss to Michigan Tech.
