Brendan Gibbons on Lou Groza Award Watch List

In honor of Brendan Gibbons.
Kicker Brendan Gibbons is one of 30 to have been named to the Lou Groza Award watch list, an award given to the nation's best placekicker each year since 1992.  No Wolverine has ever won the award.

Other notables for Michigan fans:

Drew Basil (Ohio State)
Dan Conroy (Michigan State)
Mitch Ewald (Indiana)
Anthony Fera (Penn State)
Brett Maher (Nebraska)
Mike Meyer (Iowa)
Jeremy Shelley (Alabama)

Punting is a different story in the Big Ten, because only Nebraska's Brett Maher is named on the Ray Guy Award watch list.

  3. It's highway robbery that Hamiton and/or Feely never won this award.

    1. I don't know...the guys who won it during Feely's years were pretty darn good.
