Curious: davion Rogers, Chris Barnett, the lb jones from Texas, demar dorsey,
ReplyDeleteRogers left YSU, Barnett is apparently out of football, Jones is redshirting at Clemson, and Dorsey is at a community college in Arizona.
DeleteD. Jones aside, I wonder whether there has ever been a period where as many as eight former UMich players were playing meaningful minutes for other schools.
ReplyDeleteI had the same question. BTW, Carvin Johnson... 18 tackles? Wow. Also, I wonder if Dorsey is on a realistic path to contribute. I wonder if he still has a relationship with RR.
DeleteAnd, what should we make of Arizona upsetting OSU... are the wildcats for real, or will they regress? Is OSU overrated... how much could they have dropped off from last year? Can the Wildcats do damage in the PAC12? Their schedule is pretty favorable. Their toughest games are @ Oregon, USC at home. The rest seem plausibly winnable.

I think Arizona is pretty good right now, but I think they could regress next year. They did a decent job of recruiting and have some solid returning talent. Personally, I think he'll do well at Arizona in the long run...that is, if he stays there. I could see him taking a higher profile job if he turns Arizona into a perennial Pac-12 contender like he did in the Big East at WVU.
DeleteI think RR will do pretty well there too. He'll consistently be in the 2nd Tier of that conference. And the Pac 12 South is not real deep at this point. RR's basic needs are a good QB, another two playmakers on offense, and the ability to recruit juco's on defense. He can get that at Az. However, I think he would be crazy to jump again assuming he has some success. I don't believe he wants to coach in the SEC and I don't see many upgrades out there that are good fits. Maybe Clemson or FSU. But he is much better off at a program with manageable expectations. Hopefully, he sees that.
DeleteThanks for these updates, Thunder. I liked Peace when he committed and always wondered how he was doing, but just never found the time to look it up. Isn't Shawn Conway also attending a community college in Arizona? What do you think the chances are for both he and/or Dorsey end up with the Wildcats next year?
ReplyDeleteConway is at Butte Community College, or at least he was last season. I'm assuming he's still there. I would not be surprised at all if one of those guys ends up at Arizona. Dorsey seems to have some allegiance to the guys who recruited him initially.
DeleteChris Rock?
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard where he's landed...
