R.I.P., Coach

Around 4:00 a.m. this morning, a good friend and an assistant coach on our football staff passed away from an apparent heart attack.  He was only 24.

If you're into the praying thing, please keep his family, friends, and players in mind.

You'll be missed, Coach.

  9. When news like this is disseminated, it makes those who are getting worked up about accepting a pledge from a long snapper look really, really silly. Carry on your friend's torch and his message. Condolences and God bless!

  12. I'll be 24 later this year. Parents should never have to bury their children. Prayers to you and the family.

  16. That is horrible news Magnus, I'm sorry for your loss as well as his families. Working in internal medicine I have seen an alarming number of younger people suffering heart attacks over the past several years. I haven't noticed a trend as to why they are occurring (each one had a different history) but it is shocking how many people under the age of 30 are having heart attacks these days. I wish you and his family well during this terrible time. God Bless you all.

    1. Thanks. The family has no idea why it happened. He seemed healthy up until a few hours before he passed.
