Fox Sports: Top 10 assistants who will be head coaches soon

Unfortunately (or fortunately), new offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier is on Bruce Feldman's list of the top ten assistant coaches who look like they'll be head coaches soon.

Hit the jump for three good looking ladies.

  1. Nuss replacing Hoke in a few years would be fine by me. After Hoke rights the ship and fades into the sunset.

    1. That probably won't happen. I see Michigan getting around 9 wins in 2014, and 10+ wins in 2015 with Hoke's guys becoming upperclassmen and an easy schedule with both MSU and OSU at home.

I see Nuss leaving after the 2015 season to a HC position, and Hoke will be here for a long time after doing 10+ wins in 2015. Good or bad, Hoke won't leave until his early 60s imo.

  3. Yep. Brandon becomes a politician (officially), Hoke gets the AD job, and Nuss is HC.

  4. Nussmeier becoming a head coach soon means he would have done an awesome job in his tenure at Michigan. That means wins and a lot of them.

    1. Nuss becoming a HC at Michigan would involve replacing Brady Hoke. Hoke's not getting fired or stepping down early. I'd say Nuss will leave after 2~3 years to another school. Whether he'll become another Bo (great success and loved by everyone), Lloyd (a lot of success early but hated on later), or Kirk Ferentz (3~4 successful seasons with a whole lot more mediocre ones) or the fat guy in Kansas (1~2 successful season and a lot of bad ones) is unknown. But we'll get one of the four for the next decade.

    2. I didn't mean to imply Nussmeier would be the head coach here. I meant if he works his magic like he is known to do, in a few years, he will be a hot commodity and likely get a head coaching gig like you said. I expect Nussmeier to fix the offense and get things rolling. I don't expect Nussmeier to ever be the head coach at Michigan.
