Rivals 100 for 2016 released

Rivals released its top 100 prospects for 2016. There are a number of Michigan targets on the list, including offensive tackle commit Erik Swenson at #70. Other offerees on the list include:

  1. Ouch. Didn't realize Hayes was that highly thought of. Lot of time though. This time one year ago Damien Harris was a Michigan commit...

    Disappointing though that Michigan isn't really a strong contender for many in the top 50. May end up the same in the end but in the 15 class we are/were fighting for Crawford, Campbell, Harris and others.

    1. I haven't really seen much film of Hayes, so I'm kind of reserving judgment. He only played a little bit in 2013. However, I think he's really overrated by Rivals here. My guess is that he's going to drop significantly as his recruiting cycle continues.

    2. Maybe a USC offer isn't what it was 5 years ago, but that still points to being an elite prospect.

  2. Interested to hear Thunder's thoughts on Hayes - big kid for his age for sure, but couldn't find any tape of him at linebacker.

    Ahead of the curve for his age, but so far out I think these are hard to project
