Kalis wasn't great, but I think Kalis got a bad rap from Michigan fans who perhaps watched him a little too closely and expected too much. He actually had some decent games this year and some very nice blocks sprinkled throughout the season. I still like his upside, but he was forced to play early. Remember that Steve Schilling had his fair number of struggles early in his career, and he turned out to be a pretty solid player.
Thunder, this was the original Kyle Kalis commit post http://touchthebanner.blogspot.com/2011/07/kyle-kalis-wolverine.html do you still think he has that potential (95)? I wonder what a revised after 2/5 years in the program potential post would look for him. I think he needs some more beef to run the scheme Borges wants to run with manball (310-315 lbs) and also, it just has to mentally snap for him. If he continues to consistently make the mental errors I think his rating should drop into the 60's he will find himself riding the pine behind guys who 'get it'.
Kyle Kalis?!?
