  1. If so, he's the only one. We've got a stable full of highly rated recruits, and not one of them has played like anything but a journeyman, yet. I heard nothing but Hoke-speak coming from Drevno, frankly. Get them dominating good defenses and winning tough games on the road for us..then we'll talk.

    1. True enough. They have to show it on the field. If they go to Utah and take care of business against a very good Utah squad. Then I will be impressed.

    2. Don't provide any analysis or comments about your team, especially positive ones until you win games. Got it...great comment. That will make all of these spring and fall camp pressers and interviews extremely boring, but if that's what you want.

    3. Hey, make all the positive, optimistic comments you want. But acknowledge that they mean no more than similar comments in the RR and Hoke eras that turned out to be utterly wrong. Sorry if the alternative is "boring", but vague, feel-goody statements like Drevno's have no bearing on actual on-field success.

    4. Great - why say anything then? I don't think coaches really care what you or anyone else thinks. They aren't likely going to say anything negative. Don't like it, don't read it. They want to show it on the field too...but it's MARCH. They have to do these pressers.

  2. My opinion is that Drevno is going to come out of this year tagged as a genius OL Coach which will be about half deserved. the other half will be a function of coaching big, talented people who are significantly matured both physically and mentally, and thoroughly motivated by having been thoroughly embarrassed for the last two years.

A perfect storm is brewing on our offensive line ..... in a good way.

    1. Yeah, I agree. Finally they have some real depth and playing experience at every OL position. Drevno just so happens to be coming in at the right time. If he can direct their energy and get them all synched up playing together, we should have a great year running the ball and protecting whoever our inexperienced QB may be.

    2. He started 3 true freshmen last year at USC. He's getting everybody back for 2015 and they are 3rd~4th year guys. The line will be above-average at the very least.
