Senior Highlights: Logan Tuley-Tillman

Below are some highlights from Peoria (IL) Manual offensive tackle Logan Tuley-Tillman, a class of 2013 commitment.  I was rather critical of his technique when he committed, and I stand by those comments.  However, I do have to call a spade a spade - I think Tuley-Tillman has improved significantly since his junior year.  He still gets a little high at times and doesn't always keep his feet moving through contact, but his pass blocking has taken a giant step forward and he keeps a wider base when run blocking.  It seems that an off-season of working out at camps and such has really taken hold.  When I update TTB Ratings (likely in the next month or so), Tuley-Tillman should get bumped up from his current rating of 79.

  1. You think Stribling will get a similar bump? Kid has had some impressive all around production.

  2. I agree with you probably more often than I care to admit, but I have to agree with you again on LTT. He has looked much improved in technique! One concern is although he does appear to be naturally athletic, he carries a lot of bad weight. He still gets around for such a large guy, but I dont see him on the field until at least his redshirt sophomore season probably closer to his junior season. His body will need a serious transformation.

  3. People are supposed to change their views based on new information. That's how things work. Those who don't--or as the Coors' commercials puts it, people who "refuse to change"--should probably not be put in a position to make any significant decisions.

  4. This is the first video of TT I have seen and I must admit to being pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of negative chatter about his abilities among UM fans this summer and from pictures, the guy looks like he needs some serious time with a personal trainer. But he appears to be an aggressive player who has the mean streak that Funk prizes. And he looks pretty light on his feet for a big kid. He has a boatload of technique work to do if he wants to become a LT. Nonetheless, I am encouraged and can see why the coaches went after him.

  5. LTT has dropped some major weight recently...Hes at about 285 right now after being around 320, and you can tell in recent photos. He has dropped alot of the bad weight and is ready to tone his body for college
