MLive: Hurst, Poggi turning heads in bowl practices

Nick Baumgardner has an article touting redshirting freshman defensive tackles Henry Poggi and Maurice Hurst, Jr. as the next big thing for the Wolverines. It might seem like a lot of hot air, but Baumgardner points out that last year's bowl practice buzz guys were Drake Johnson and Willie Henry, both of whom worked their way up the depth chart this year (although Johnson tore his ACL early).

Hit the jump at your own risk.

  2. We will need them to play beyond their years next year.

OT: I tried joking with mgoblog (4 star DL McDowell commits to Ole Miss) the other day, and was down voted so much I can no longer post anything. Bunch of Nancies can't take a joke over there.

  3. Missing Drake this year was huge bummer. He played well and had a unique combination of size and speed. You never know how speed comes back from injury but I hope we get to see him in the coming year live up to his promise.
