  1. That was underwhelming. Mone looked the best. Peppers looks like a great athlete, but his coverage skills have a ways to go. Probably didn't need much technique at the high school level. Speight was the most disconcerting. I really hope he's better than he looked and this isn't another poor Borges decision. Great kid, so I hope he can play.

    1. I was never a big fan of Speight, lets hope he won't see the field for years to come, if at all ever! With Nessmeier' reputation of handling QB's, I would think we can pull in a top 5* QB in the next class.

    2. Yup. Mone could see some action as freshman, I think. I think we can land a big fish for 2015, given that the number of wins go up for 2014 season of course. Speight should definitely redshirt and take his time.

  2. Mone looks to have good "get off" on the snap. Looked a bit like Peppers was schemed to play off coverage as you could see the safety in the screen on most of those pass plays defending other players. Still looked like he was giving too much cushion. With his closing speed and tackling ability I think he will end up at safety. He does look good returning kicks. Speight....strong arm. I need to see more to make a determination because he had zero pass protection in this game. JBB is as big as a house. I'm not sure if he will ever have the feet to play LT or even RT. May end up inside mauling people.
