Michael Cox is transferring to UMass

According to Wolverine Nation, running back Michael Cox will be graduating at the end of the semester and transferring to UMass, where he will go to graduate school and play football.  UMass will be playing its first season in the FBS after moving up from the FCS level.  They will be a member of the Mid-American Conference . . . and they happen to be playing at Michigan on September 15th of the upcoming season.

So Michigan fans haven't seen the last of Michael Cox.

  1. HAHA. At long last, Thunder's dreams of Cox getting carries against legit competition could come true.

  2. Nice that Michigan plays them this year. I generally agreed with Thunder that Cox looked really good when he was on the field. Will be nice to see him actually play, and not only is it a televised game, but it's against Michigan so I'm guaranteed to see it.

  4. I'm still a little perplexed why this guy never got on the field. The persistent rumor for 3 years has been that he was too dumb to learn the playbook. I wonder how much truth there is to that. He was the most gifted (physically) runner on the team.

  5. I never understood it either. When he was on the field he delivered. I think he will do well.
