2013 Season Countdown List

Whew. Ninety-five player profiles over 95 days. It is finished. I think I'll go nap until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

I had some people ask me to link each profile, but that's a crap ton of linking and time I don't have. I apologize, and while it does take some scrolling, you can click on "2013 Season Countdown" at the bottom of this post to read all the profiles.

  1. Thanks for all the work basically for our amusement. No rest for the wicked, though; do you have a game Friday night to coach?

  4. Nice work, as always. Appreciate all the time you put into this.

Imitation intended as flattery: here are the 2013 Countdown List AWARDS:

Most obvious rank: #1 Devin Gardner - this was a no-brainer from the day Bellomy went down

Most bold rank: #59 Dylan Esterline - a walk-on TE ahead of Paskorz and Hill was unexpected; and may yet be justified. Borges loves his blocking TEs.

Coachiest rankings: Glanda, Wile, and Gibbons all making the top 30 is something only a special-teams-are-more-important-than-you-think Coach would do.

Most underrated: #83 Channing Stribling - this is the kind of unknowable thing that happens when you start a list in May. Stribling making the 2-deep was predicted by exactly no one till that scrimmage video surfaced recently.

Honorable Mention: #29 Kyle Kalis, #34 Courtney Avery, #62 Drake Johnson, Graham Glasgow #45

Most overrated rank: #16 Derrick Green - could still emerge later in the year but he's overweight and 6th on the depth chart for now

    Honorable Mention: #25 Darboh :( #36 C.Henry #41 RJS #51 T.Rawls

  5. Great work.

When does your top 95 girlie pics list come out?

  6. Think of it like the SI swimsuit edition. It will get you the most page views. Personally, I'd prefer the top 50 Michigan girls.

  7. I am probably putting Ryan Glasgow somewhere between Richard Ash at 54 and Ben Gedeon at 68 as opposed to nowhere. I think he'll get some snaps.

Aside from that small quibble it's a good list.

I suspect that Kerridge will connect with some hapless linebacker early and as a result will get the coaching staffs attention. Maybe I move him up around Bolden. A kick ass lead blocker would be nice with this batch of backs.

  8. Thunder - I am sure there are folks here, including me, who will not mind doing all the linking for you if you provide a place for them to do so. Leverage your crowd - it's the future.
